Member Information Notice - DIRT TAX

• All Credit Union dividend payments are now subject to DIRT at source, unless the individual member is DIRT exempt.

• For an individual to be exempt from DIRT they must be 65 years of age or over and have an annual income less than €18,000 (or combined €36,000 for a couple). Please check the Revenue website for full details.

• The individual must complete and submit a DE1 Form to Farranree Credit Union, to be classified as DIRT exempt.

• DE1 forms are available from the Credit Union or you can download here from our website DE1 Form

• The DE1 Form must be submitted before the AGM.

• The current DIRT rate is 41%.
